Projects and life beyond the screen

Design has always lived at the intersection of technology, humanity, art, and culture. And so have I. Outside of product design, I'm a yoga teacher, a maker, a renovator, and an entrepreneur. I get my hands dirty. Literally.

These projects don't live in a Figma file or a design system. They live in sourcing sustainable fabrics from overseas manufacturers, in tearing down walls and choosing the right lighting, in holding space for students in a morning practice.

But they all feed back into how I design with empathy, cultural curiosity, and a deep respect for the humans on the other side of every experience.

maison jaune: Basement Renovation (WIP)

We're living the elder millennial dream when we decided to turn our outdated townhome basement into a cozy rental unit. The learning curve includes spatial planning, material sourcing, lighting design, tiling, painting, and a lot of YouTube tutorials. 🪦 RIP shaggy brown 90s carpet.

Turns out designing a physical space is not that different from designing a digital one.
Constraints, trade-offs, and an end user who just wants to feel at home.

ahimsa yoga wear

During COVID, I built a sustainable yoga wear label from the ground up. I designed the brand identity, directed photoshoots, sourced ethical materials, and worked directly with overseas manufacturers to prototype and produce physical garments. A crash course in fashion, supply chain, and what it really takes to make something tangible.

Yoga Teacher

I have been a 200hr RYT certified yoga teacher since 2014 and this year I am completing my second 200hr RYT certification in Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, a more disciplined practice and traditional lineage. Throughout the years, I've taught corporates, private clients, gyms, and boutique studios across New York, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Seattle.

Teaching yoga and designing products are more similar than they sound: both are about reading the room, meeting people where they're at, and creating experiences that feel effortless.
